How do you determine who stays and who goes? Easy. Just follow your heart. Don't worry about all the extra stuffs, just do what feels right to you & ultimately, that should lead the way.

But forreal, ultimately we determine who goes, by our words, our actions, our everything. Who stays is a different story. You can't MAKE someone stay where they don't fit. It's like trying to put the square block into the circle hole. It's never going to happen but you keep pushing and pushing and even if you eventually manage to get it in there it'll be pretty damaged (love how I alluded to that?) to even be worth it.
Go to bed early and you won't have time to dwell on the the loneliness like babyface does. Go listen to that song if you want to be depressed. The Loneliness - Babyface.
